I am pleased to be able to welcome Lauren Shea to Boston College where she will be beginning her graduate studies this semester as part of the SG&T group. She joins us from State University of New York at New Paltz, where she gained research experience working with Dr. Gordana Garapic on understanding processes occurring at the crust-mantle boundary. Lauren’s main areas of research interest lie at the intersection of structural geology and metamorphic petrology, so naturally I’m excited to begin working with her to develop a new masters project focused on lower crustal deformation processes. Glad you decided on BC and welcome!

You can learn more about Lauren on her departmental webpage.
